James Carpenter
Senior Managing Director

James Carpenter is a Founder, Senior Managing Director of RMG. Mr. Carpenter focuses on venture capital and private equity opportunities in the clean energy, metals recycling and technology media telecom industries. As a principal investor, adviser and manager, he has completed more than 60 transactions since 1996. He is currently advising a $2 billion metals recycling and clean energy group on a variety of transactions. Mr. Carpenter also led the formation and management of joint initiatives with a major private equity firm and global financial institution to pursue investments in the metals and clean energy industries. In addition, he has helped launch and develop two companies currently nearing commercialization, iCueTV and STX Composites. From 2002 - 2004 he was CEO of Horsehead Industries, the largest recycler of hazardous waste and producer of zinc in the US. He is currently a director of iCueTV and STX Composites and an advisor to Allied Resource Corporation. Mr. Carpenter received a BS in communications from Boston University in 1989 and holds the series 24, 82 & 63 securities licenses.
